Alberto F. Rivas was originally from Dallas, Texas and has lived in the Lawton Fort Sill community for over 15 years. He has said on multiple occasions that this is where he found himself and what his truest passion was, which is advocating for the people around him and the community he supports.
Alberto is the Assistant Vice President and District Manager at City National Bank and Trust, he currently serves on the Board of Directors for Young Professionals of Lawton, Leadership Lawton Fort Sill, Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra, United Way of SWOK, and Ex-Officio Appointee for the FISTA Authority. He also serves on the following committees: Lawton Proud, Wichita Mountain Historical Drama Association, Walk to End Alzheimer’s of Lawton, Women that Vote Arts Corporation, Lawton Public Schools Senior Conference, and is a mentor for the Lawton Public Schools AIM Program. Alberto has also conducted various leadership courses with LPS and across the community with various organizations. He was recently named one of the top Young Professionals in SWOK with 12:10 to The Top in 2019 and was the recipient of the 2018 Roma Clift Montgomery Citizen of the Arts award, the 2018 Champion Volunteer Award by LETA, and the Extra Mile Hero of America Award.
Alberto’s motto is that “Success is dependent on how you advocate for others” and truly believes in the Lawton Fort Sill Proud lifestyle.
