Will Woodruff serves as the Director of Operations at the FISTA, where he assumes the role of overseeing the organization’s day-to-day activities. Born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina, he pursued his undergraduate education at Presbyterian College, the smallest Division-I college in the country, situated in Clinton, SC.
After obtaining his economics degree, Will embarked on a career in Private Banking for BB&T Wealth Management, which later became Truist Bank FSB. However, driven by a sense of duty and adventure, he made a significant career shift and joined the Army, where he served as a Field Artillery Officer. His military journey included multiple deployments to the Middle East, as well as being stationed at Forts Sill, Benning, Bliss, and Hood.
Throughout his service, Will commanded Artillery units specializing in all three howitzer systems: M119A3, M777A2, and the M109A7, thereby gaining valuable expertise across the full cannon artillery spectrum.
Will is currently pursuing an MBA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, with a concentration in Data Analytics, demonstrating his continuous pursuit of personal and professional growth.
Outside of work, Will cherishes his role as a husband and father. He is happily married to the former Lesley Hennig of Temple, Texas, and together they are the proud parents of their daughter, Hadley. In his downtime during the fall, you’ll often find Will immersed in college football, spending Saturdays screaming at the TV in excitement.
