Kevin Carter

Kevin Carter serves as the Head of Security, Protocol, and Initiatives for the FISTA Innovation Park, where he leads efforts to ensure safety, operational excellence, and professional engagement across the organization.

Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Kevin dedicated 30 years of honorable service to the United States Army before retiring in July 2025. Over the course of his military career, he held key leadership positions, completed four combat deployments, and served in two overseas assignments to Korea. His service also took him to multiple states, including Colorado, Kentucky, Texas, and Oklahoma, where he built lasting connections within both military and civilian communities.

In his role at the FISTA, Kevin draws on his extensive background in leadership, security operations, and protocol management to support innovation and collaboration within the park’s growing ecosystem.

Outside of work, Kevin’s personal interests include outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing, along with perfecting the craft of smoked meats.
