Kirby Brown
Kirby Brown serves as the Councilman for Ward 3 in Lawton, beginning his first term in January 2026. He brings decades of leadership experience from a distinguished career in the U.S. Army, where he retired in 1998, and from his subsequent service in key federal civilian roles. As a member of the Department of Defense Senior Executive Service, he served as Deputy to the Commanding General at both the Fires Center of Excellence at Fort Sill and the Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth, guiding major organizational initiatives and supporting Army modernization efforts.
His civilian career also included work with the Institute for Defense Analyses and the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, followed by his tenure as Dean of the School of Business at Park University. Kirby holds degrees from Pittsburg State University and the Florida Institute of Technology and is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma and the Lawton Citizens Academy.
Returning to Lawton in 2022 as his chosen retirement home, he remains deeply committed to public service. Councilman Brown views representing Ward 3 as an honor and is dedicated to serving the community with integrity, responsiveness, and steady leadership.
