Philip D. Kennedy
Philip D. Kennedy is the President of Comanche Lumber Company, Inc., a retail building materials supplier, as well as other business ventures in Lawton. In addition, he is a partner in Southern Hardlines, a retail hardware supplier, with stores located in Harrah, Elgin, Enid, Lawton, and Lone Grove and partner in ProSource of Northwest Arkansas and Tyler, Texas, retail flooring stores.
Phil grew up in the Lawton area and graduated from Elgin High School. He has a B.S. degree in Agriculture Education from Oklahoma State University. Phil currently serves as Past Chair of the McMahon Foundation, Trustee and Vice Chair of the FISTA Development Trust Authority, Board Member of Oklahoma Health Care Authority, Past Chairman of Allied Building Stores, Inc., a buying group of over 150 retail building materials stores, and Board Member and Past Chairman of the Lawton-Fort Sill Economic Development Corporation.
He has served as Chairman of the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association, Chairman of The State Chamber of Oklahoma, President of the Oklahoma Lumbermen’s Association, Chairman of the Lawton-Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce, President of Lawton-Fort Sill United Way and a Board Member of the US Chamber of Commerce.
He is a graduate of the first Leadership Lawton Class and a member of Class twenty of Leadership Oklahoma. Phil and his wife, Anita, have three daughters, Taylor Blose and husband, Micheal, and their son, Sawyer, Raegan Kennedy and Makinley Kennedy. He serves as an elder at Western Hills Church of Christ.
