Russell Simington
Russell Simington, born and raised in Lawton, Oklahoma, serves as a Computer & Program Specialist and soon-to-be STEM Maker Space Coordinator, where he supports innovation and hands-on learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. With an associate’s degree in mechanical engineering and ongoing studies toward a bachelor’s degree in the same field, he brings both academic and practical knowledge to his work.
He specializes in CAD design and 3D printing technologies and is passionate about using these tools to empower others, whether students exploring engineering for the first time or colleagues seeking technical support. Known for his problem-solving mindset and willingness to help, he strives to make the Maker Space a collaborative and creative hub for learning and experimentation.
Outside of work, Russell has played the cello since the age of ten, a pursuit that continues to inspire creativity and discipline. He also enjoys gaming and actively volunteers at Lawton Community STEM events to spark curiosity and excitement in learners of all ages.
